Hapkido
Hapkido translates to “The Way of Coordinated Energy” and is a traditional Korean martial art developed by Choi Yong Sul. Hapkido emphasizes practical self-defense techniques designed to be effective for 90% of people in 90% of real-life situations, making it highly adaptable and accessible.
A core focus of Hapkido is the control of breath and energy. By learning how to manage one’s own energy and work in harmony with the energy of others, practitioners develop balance, efficiency, and confidence. This coordinated approach allows students to defend themselves effectively while maintaining control and composure in challenging situations.
